67cougar 07-13-2007 12:59 AM Can we get an updated blocked bidder list? HI - I've got about 200 slides won on auctions that have not been paid for, and the deadbeats that bid on them are people I think others are having problems with as well. I'd like to see an updated list to verify this, please. The deadbeat issue is making it so that money lost on listing fees and sales commissions is seriously cutting into the value of auctioning slides here. We've simply got to do something about it.

aircraftslides.com 05-10-2007 02:16 PM RE: Blocked Bidder Lihst 26 Nowv 2005 The point I was trying to make below is that I can't block a bidder because they are blocked only by 1 person (someone as 67cougar states) Quite often members block other members for personal reasons or because a particular transaction did not go well e.g. money/slides lost in post Other sellers would not be pleased to find a good customer suspended because of an issue like this. Of course, if a specific case warrants me to suspend the account then I will. The point I am trying to make is the block bidder function does not tell me why someone is blocked, just that they are. i hope this explains ther process better.

There are two possibilities for someone's account being suspended. 1) They appear on 3 or more Blocked bidder lists. 2) I have a specific complaint about a certain bidder who will/has not payed. This is then followed up by me and if the situation is not resolved then the bidders account is suspended.

david f. brown 05-8-2007 05:03 PM RE: Blocked Bidder Lihst 26 Nowv 2005 I think if a bidder fails to make go on payment for a minimum dollar amount, say $50.00, then that bidder should be blocked from the site. I agree with Cougar67. The same deadbeats fail to pay time after time.

aircraftSlides.com 05-4-2007 10:51 AM RE: Blocked Bidder Lihst 26 Nowv 2005 The use of the blocked bidder function by individuals will not suspend an account but just protect that seller against unwanted bids. I do however run periodic reports that show bidders appearing on 3 or more blocked bidder lists. I am due to run this and will suspend accounts I feel necessary. Remember, any seller can block a bidder and if the seller has not done so then that is his/her decision.

67cougar 04-23-2007 04:02 PM Deadbeat bidders - why are they allowed to continue? Bidders who are blocked by someone should not be allowed to bid on other autcions until the block is removed. I have stated this before (see below), but it continues. I have a bidder who owes me for over 30 slides, and this same person owes other sellers for over 100 slides - he continues to bid even though he is blocked by multiple sellers. This is not only a nuisance, it costs sellers money is listing and sale fees. Moderator, can something be done about this?

67cougar 01-31-2007 12:47 AM RE: Blocked Bidder Lihst 26 Nowv 2005 When a bidder is blocked by a seller, why isn't that bidder blocked for all sellers until the issue is resolved? We see the same deadbeat non-payers showing up as blocked by multiple sellers, yet they are still allowed to bid and create problems for other sellers.
